Inside the Mind of a Bibliophile

About

Thank you so much for stopping by to see what I’m about. Starting a blog has been on my list of desires for about three years now. In February I decided to finally stop talking about it and just do it. parallellookingglass.com is my baby now. I am on a path towards self discovery and a career in writing. Feedback of any kind is greatly appreciated.
I love photography. Capturing the beauty in unexpected places is one of my favorite hobbies. My Instagram account is the keeper of a few of my favorite gems. Traveling often-in search of myself, new experiences, and pretty things to see-has created quite a collection of images. I want to share articles about these images with all of you. Little pieces of my life and experiences.

If I could spend every minute of every day reading, it would be heaven. Maybe you’re the same way? I look at each story as a vacation, and a little piece of the authors soul. I want to be one of those authors. Writing seems like this awesome thing to be mastered. It feels like this far off dream. Something to learn.

The thought is that blogging can lead to writing. Maybe writing leads to blogging, and I’ve got this all backwards and turned around. This wouldn’t be the first time, and probably won’t be the last. Since I love to read, why not share that with all of you. I think my opinion may be a bit skewed as there are very few books that I do not simply love.

To me a book is another world. Authors bring us on a journey through this world and introduce us to some of their friends along the way. Why on earth would I then sit back and complain about this vacation that was given to me? So no, I won’t write a bad review. I won’t tell you how the author could have done a better job of taking me away from reality for a few days. What I will do is tell you why I loved my vacation. I’ll tell you what this particular author brings to the table. I won’t tell you too much about my trip because I don’t want to spoil any of the surprises for you. My goal is to encourage you to take the trip on your own. If I’m really lucky, hopefully you will share your experience with me once you have.

Writing about my travels and photography is another aspect I’d like to explore. Every great author quote I’ve read has the same message. If you want to write, write. That’s what I am going to do. Traveling is another opportunity to write. It’s something I enjoy, and documenting all of the things I love about a trip will increase that enjoyment. I’ve read many an article discussing strengthening memory by writing things down. Logically, writing about my travels has a bazillion benefits. I’d be crazy not to do it. I travel cheap, and I travel to find things that look cool. Maybe I’ll inspire you to visit what I’ve seen, but the goal is to inspire you to look at the world as I do. Even if only for a minute, just check out my view. I believe its pretty cool.

Overall, if you’ve read even this page, thank you. Every ounce of feedback is appreciated. This blog is for me. A way to improve and grow. However, if it becomes beneficial to any of you, that’s amazing and I’m so thankful for the opportunity to contribute to your life. Thank you again so much for dropping by.
